Christmas is just around the corner. Colorful blinking lights, jolly Christmas songs and cardemom scent in the cafes. Do not also forget the busy shopping streets and alleys downtown and at the mall, which all tell us that it is that time of the year already. I have also started decorating our home for Christmas. So that I’ll get the Christmas feels already. Because to be honest, I still cannot feel the Christmas season. Maybe this is just the effect of the gloomy days that we have here in Norway.
I was also thinking that maybe the decors are not enough that’s why I’m lacking the Christmas essence.
It’s already December and it only means that Christmas is just around the corner. This weekend, hubby took out all our Christmas decors and we started to decorate our home. I’m very excited because this is the first time that I’m going to spend Christmas with my hubby and this will also my little one’s very first Christmas. In short, this is our first Christmas together as a family.
One of the coolest things that I’ve ever seen this year is Bergen’s Gingerbread Town. I’ve never thought that this gingerbread town is the biggest in the whole world! I can say that I’m impressed by the different kinds of structures that they built out of gingerbread. These were built by kids, bankers and people from almost all walks of life (in Bergen). So yes, hats off to these people.
We went here on the second weekend it opened. The entrance fee is around 85 NOK. There is a small shop where you can buy gingerbread and sodas too.
Anyway, if there is one thing that I love from this miniature town aside from that it is cool is its coziness and how it peaceful and calm it looks. If only the world could be like that, peaceful. Then everybody is happy.
