This weekend, my friends visited me in Bergen. It was their first time to be here so I was really happy to show them what Bergen has to offer. When they arrived here it was already getting dark and it was also raining a lot. So we showed them some of the malls in the city center and after that we went to TGIF for dinner. Then we went to their hotel room to have a couple of drinks before going to the night club.
The following day, the weather improved. Less rain and the sun was out. So we head to Fløyen (We took the Fløibanen), one of the seven mountains in Bergen.
For those who want more than just coffee and tea, this cafe is for you. Rostrup Cafe is a local cafe and is located in Sandnes at Langgata. Just a few steps away from the train station. I discovered Rostrup last year when I was shopping for Christmas presents. The ambiance inside is just fantastic. It’s really cosy and the employees there are nice.
Life is like hiking. No matter how high or short the mountain trip is, it never is easy. There is not such thing as easy in life. The paths that we take for the first time is never that easy. There’s always obstacles along the way and from those obstacles we pick up the lessons in life. The path to the top of any mountain is never flat. It could be rocky, muddy and/or mossy. We learn that sometimes we need to fall in order to reach our dreams and it is up to us how we are going to get through these obstacles. It’s either you find another way around to reach the top or fearlessly face those obstacles. For me, it doesn’t matter how one will reach the top as long as he/she won’t step on someone along the way. Also, the most important thing in life is to never give up. The mountain may be high but your will is higher than the highest mountain.
I attached a video of Imagine Dragons’ On Top of the World song. I think this matches the mood for this post. 😀 Enjoy!
I just moved in to Lura Sandnes last year and so far I have no regrets. Why would I when I can see these sceneries whenever I want to. And this is one of the perfect places for people like me who loves to walk and take pictures.
Sankthansaften or St John’s Eve in English is St John the Baptist’s day celebration. In some countries, like Norway, it is an annual tradition/celebration. People make big bonfires and gather around them. Here in Norway, we grill, drink and play games.
