Autumn is the perfect time of the year for me when it comes to shooting outdoors, going for random hikes (short walks) and sightseeing. The weather is just right (Not too hot and not too cold.) and autumn colors are just magnificent.
Today was rather a tiring day for me despite the day off from work because of the fact that I’m getting the flu and was moving/lifting and cleaning my stuff. I also cancelled my gym today and that made me feel guilty so I went outside to get some fresh air and unwind. Guess what? It worked! I got better! Win win! 😀
Anyway, here are the shots that I took today. I used my Samsung S5 camera and adjusted the exposure using Lightroom. Enjoy! 🙂
It’s around 9 a.m. when my alarm rang. I could have just slept back again but no my mind won’t allow me too. So I got up, took a shower and ate breakfast. I was thinking of great ways to utilize my day off, wisely. The first thing that went into my mind is the gym. Second is window shopping. Third is do the laundry and last is hiking. I chose the latter even though I knew that no one is available to go with me and that I’ve never been to that place before. I’m a bit concerned when it comes to new places, specially mountains and forests because sometimes (ahem!) I got a wrong sense of direction (Even though there’s a map.). However, I want to be adventurous this time and set aside my worries. So I packed my bag. I packed light because the hike is only 2 hours total so I won’t be needing a bunch of stuff with me.
I took the bus to Dale and got off the stop Gramstad and walked up to the site. It took me around 15-20 minutes to get to the post. It’s impossible to get lost here because there are signs.
And so I followed the sign to Dalsnuten.
Here’s one of the heaven on earth view just a few meters away from the post.
The first “stoney” path.
This is one of my favorite views from the trip. It looks like a scene from Game of Thrones or The Vikings.
As I went further up, the view gets better and better!
For those who want more than just coffee and tea, this cafe is for you. Rostrup Cafe is a local cafe and is located in Sandnes at Langgata. Just a few steps away from the train station. I discovered Rostrup last year when I was shopping for Christmas presents. The ambiance inside is just fantastic. It’s really cosy and the employees there are nice.
Here’s my take on The Daily Post Photo Challenge. Symmetry. I know this photo challenge was published a couple of weeks ago, but I just can’t move on without sharing this picture. Better late than never. 🙂 Anyway, this shot was taken in an underpass at Lura Sandnes, just a couple of minutes from my flat.
