My first week at school for this semester started well. I was really enthusiastic and motivated to learn new stuff, meet new people and to be challenged again. In fact I started reading for the exams in November! (psychooo me!) But seriously, I’m grabbing that opportunity to avoid so much stress before the exams.

However, sometimes we can’t avoid the obstacles that are tied up together with our perseverance. It is like God is testing our faith in a different way.
Last week, I had to get an immediate appointment with my doctor because I had some problems with my breathing and my tummy and I was already cold sweating because of panic. My doctor asked me what was wrong, so I explained everything, that it’s hard to breathe and etc. He listened to my breathing, felt my tummy and my neck. Then he concluded that I might have GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease/ acid reflux). He wrote out Lansoprazol for me and he said that I should come back to him after six weeks.

I’m taking this for 4 days now and I can say that it works. I’m so happy that I don’t have to worry about my breathing and my stomach anymore. Having GERD is not easy because the duration of medication is quite long and depressing, also the person who is suffering should practice self discipline. It means that I should avoid drinking sodas, coffee, alcoholic beverages and eating too much. Sounds boring but believe me or not I have done it for almost 2 weeks now and before I went to my doctor, so discipline is possible if you really want to achieve something.
