First of all Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and New Year celebration. I had a hectic schedule before and during Christmas so I didn’t have time on my blog. Anyways, let me start my first post this 2017 with a travel post from my latest trip to one of the Canary Islands, Tenerife.
Two months ago, my bf and I went to Tenerife for a one week vacation. It’s my first time to travel to the Canary Islands and this was also my very first charter tour. A charter tour means that the entire trip is arranged by a charter agency and you book a package on your trip. A very common package/bundle is flight, hotel, tour guide and food and drinks are included. You fly on a charter plane from your city to your holiday place, directly! And also, the agency arranges the transportation to and from the hotel so all you have to do is to relax and enjoy your vacation.

We flew with Scandinavian Airlines from Bergen at 7.15 a.m. and landed at Reina Sofia Airport in Tenerife at 12.00 p.m. The flight took 5 hours. After we got our luggage and took out some euros from the ATM, we went to the bus which took us to the hotel resort. Since it’s my first time in this part of Spain, I was very excited about the landscapes and what this island has to offer.

Dream Villa Tagoro is the hotel resort that we chose for our 7 days stay. It is located in Costa Adeje and just 15 minutes away from Playa de Las Americas. There is a shopping mall, a fast food restaurant and a grocery store nearby. I’ll write a separate post about the hotel later.
We just made it to the lunch buffet upon arrival at the hotel and from there we met my bf’s dad, sisters, brother in laws and nieces. They were there a week ahead of us and they had 14 days vacation while bf and I only had 7 days. I’m not complaining, though. On the first day, we only stayed in the hotel to relax and swim in the pool.

The temperature during the day was 26 degrees Celsius, perfect for getting a tan and going out in shorts, bikini, miniskirts and etc. But during the evening I suggest wearing clothes with long sleeves as it is colder because of the wind.
When it comes to food, everything is just good. I don’t have any complaints about the food buffet in the hotel. Everything’s perfect! The locals are nice to us so I felt like I’m already at home even on the very first day.
PS: See part 2 for the continuation.
Looks like a tone of fun! Can’t wait to read more about your trip.
