Hiking during the day specially when it’s hot is a challenge. It’s a test not only of your stamina but also your mind. A week ago, I went for an afternoon hike near my flat. It’s not far but I struggled uphill due to the heat. It was around 25 degrees Celsius that day. For me it’s too warm. I’m not used to the hot weather anymore after living for more than a decade here in Norway.
I had a small backpack with me with 1 liter of water, chocolate bar and a bottle of Powerade. On the way up was really scourging hot that I started getting dizzy on the first 15 minutes of the hike.

The trail is steep and slippery when wet/during winter. That’s why there are ropes. I had to use the ropes because as I’ve said earlier, I got dizzy on the way up and the word retreat isn’t in my vocabulary. Yep! Stubborn here! 😛

Then finally I reached my destination! I was really happy here because I conquered my fear from fainting and having panic attacks.

And then I went inside the cabin to relax a bit and appreciate the view and be grateful for this experience.

Gytta is located on the way to Viefjellet in Førde. The hike consist of steep trail but worth the struggle because of the view. It is not allowed to sleep over in the cabin but you can overnight in the “gapahuken” located beside the cabin.
