The Small Ones Deserve to Live Too

Winter can be a ruthless season not only for us humans but also for the animals. It is important to help these creatures or else they would go extinct. Besides, it doesn’t take much of your time and energy to help them.

It’s been cold these past few weeks. The temperature dropping to as low as minus 6 degrees Celcius during the evenings. As a result, the grounds freezes and hardens. Making it difficult for the wild animals to find food. So, I hang food for the wild birds so they would not starve and die.

I always feel good whenever I see the birds come and whenever I hear them when I go out of the door. I feel like I’m a hero because they seem to get so ecstatic when they see me. 😀

One of my regular “customers” is the grey-headed woodpecker (Picus canus). This is actually the first time I’ve seen and encounter a woodpecker. 🙂

“Got food?”
