These past few weeks have been a roller coaster ride for me. I thought that it’s going to be smooth days ahead, but I was wrong. My patience and sanity was put into test!
Last Thursday when my shift’s done and was about to drive home, I found one of the tires of my car completely flat! It’s so flat that it’s totally not adviceable to drive the car. So I called my insurance and assured me that the the tow service would call me within an hour. Guess what? No one called! So I called again and waited in line for almost 15 minutes just to talk to someone. Good thing the insurance consultant that I talked to is honest (and realistic) enough to inform me that the tow service’s gonna be late because of the hectic schedule and the traffic. I just left my key in my car so the tow man can move my car. Then I called Hertz to rent a car to get home. Good thing that they have a self-service Smart Safe nearby, so renting a car is easy peasy!

I got my car back with new tires the day after. I was finally relieved then. But still it took a couple of days to regain the energy from the stress from the flat tires plus stress from work (I deal with lots of people everyday) I can still feel the aftermath because no matter how long or short my sleep is-I’m still tired and exhausted.
But despite of stressful weeks, I’m still grateful for my family and colleagues who are always there to listen. ๐ And grateful that I’m surviving the challenges of life.
