What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.
I hate it when people ask what or who the reason is for wearing makeup or simply looking good. Can’t we just normalize giving a compliment without asking someone why they are well-dressed or looking bright today?
It annoys me a lot whenever someone comments on the way I look as if they were in my shoes. For instance, someone once said, ‘Oh, you have red lipstick on today. Are you going on a date? Meeting someone?’ I replied, ‘No, I just felt like wearing red today.’ She responded, ‘I don’t believe you.’ I said, ‘Okay, don’t then,’ and she claimed that wearing makeup is just to impress the opposite sex.
To make a long story short, I just agreed to disagree to end the discussion. Besides, I don’t owe anyone an explanation for how I look.
