We’re finally back from our trip to the north. As I mentioned in my previous post, we decided to spend our summer vacation here in Norway.
Before we started planning our itinerary, we already knew how far north we wanted to go. The reason was my partner’s motorcycle event which was held 30 minutes north of Mo I Rana. From there, our questions became: Where should we stop?, What did we want to see along the way? And how long should each driving stretch be? Since we were traveling with our 5-month-old baby and a 7 year old, we decided to drive for a maximum of 3-4 hours a day and spend each night at camping sites with cabins.
An overview of our travel itinerary on Google Maps:

We simply entered the names of the camping sites into Google Maps to plan our route. The only excemptions are D and G–these are not camping sites. D is a zoo, while G is the raceway where my partner’s motorcycle event was held.
Place, Duration and Accomodation
A. Stryn – 2 nights
Innvik Fjordcamp
B. Dovre – 1 night
Toftemo Turiststasjon
C. Trondheim – 2 nights
Storsand Gård Camping
D. Park Nordica – A couple of hours
Wildlife park and zoo
E. Namsskogan – 1 night
Nyheim Camping
F. Mo i Rana – 4 nights
Airbnb apartment
G. Arctic Circle Raceway (ACR) – 3 days / 4 nights
Partner stayed in a tent
Anyway, looking back, I’m really glad that we took the time to plan this trip. Traveling with a baby meant that we couldn’t always stick to the plan, and that was completely okay. In my next post, I’ll share more about our trip and the places we visited along the way.
Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you in Part 2! 😉
