From Bergen to Mo i Rana, Part 4: Trondheim

So, for the third stop on our trip to the north, we chose Trondheim, right in the middle of Norway. Trondheim is the fourth-largest city in the country, and from Dovre, it takes around three and a half hours to get there.

Instead of staying in the city, we chose to stay at Storsand Gård Camping in Malvik, just a 30-minute drive from Trondheim. Since we were traveling with a trailer, staying at a campsite made things much easier for us. We could park the trailer there without having to worry about finding a parking spot for it in the city center. We stayed there for one night and two days.

On our first day, we drove to Trondheim to see the majestic Nidaros Cathedral. Since we had never been to Trondheim before, this was our first time seeing this beautiful piece of history and architecture.

The moment I laid eyes on the cathedral, I was speechless! It was absolutely breathtaking—a true masterpiece!

So, don’t miss this if you’re traveling to Trondheim!

Moving on, the second day was departure day, so we spent most of our time at the campsite relaxing and packing our things. I have to say, Storsand Gård Camping is a really nice campsite. I love how clean their sanitary facilities are and how beautiful the surroundings are. They even have a small beach, which makes the place even more lovely, especially for families with kids.

Overall, our stay in Trondheim was short but enjoyable. We got to see the beautiful Nidaros Cathedral and spend some relaxing time at Storsand Gård Camping before packing up and continuing our journey north.

And with that, it was time to hit the road again! Our next stop was Namsskogan, where another little adventure was waiting for us. 🚗
