After our relaxing two-day stay in Trondheim, we continued our journey north. This time, we planned to visit Park Nordica first before heading to our next campsite. Both the park and the campsite are located in Namsskogan.
My eldest loves climbing, so I knew this place would be a fun stop for our family. Park Nordica has both a climbing area and a wildlife park, which means there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The wildlife park is home to animals that you can find in Norwegian nature, with at least 30 different species in captivity. I would have loved to see them all, but unfortunately, we arrived only about two hours before closing time. With such limited time, we had to make the most of our visit and see as much as we could before it was time to leave.
After exploring the park, we drove for about 30 minutes to Nyheim Camping, where we settled into our cabin for the night. It was another simple stop along our road trip, but sometimes those short stops are exactly what you need when traveling with kids.
And with another night behind us, we were one step closer to our final destination — Mo i Rana!
Our journey north wasn’t over yet, though. In the next part, we’ll continue our adventure and finally make our way to Mo i Rana, where we stayed for a few days and had more time to explore and enjoy the trip.
