Girl’s Handball

Last Sunday, I was invited by my friend to watch a handball match near where I live. By the time I arrived the second match was about to start. I was only there for 15 minutes because I was going to see the Star Wars movie too. I find it fun to watch. I enjoy the little time I had there but I wish that I could have stayed longer and finish the match.

Seeing the girls play brings back childhood memories. Now I miss my old school, my old teachers and most of all my old friends.

Look Ma! I got a dino!

One of the things that make me preoccupied this week aside from work is this new sandbox game on Steam which is The Stomping Land. The goal of the game is simple. Survive. Sounds easy, right? Actually no. Because when you choose to play online, the other players can do whatever they want like join your tribe, kill you or worse, take you as a prisoner. So you better watch your back. But that is what players keep coming back for, the thrill and of course the dinosaurs (awesome).

Speaking of dinosaurs, after long hours of hiding and building a tribe, I finally caught my first dinosaur in the game. Thanks to mi amore for helping me out. Without his navigation skills I would not be able to find the herb that is required for healing dinosaurs.

I like the game. It has a concept similar to Minecraft but this one is more challenging because you can not save your game. Once you left the game, you lose all your stuff. There is also lag most of the time, so I hope they will fix that.

Gloom

SONY DSC

Last month I celebrated my birthday and one of the gifts I got is this card game Gloom. This game is different from my other games because of the main goal of this game which is sad and morbid. I have not played it yet but earlier today I got time to study the rules and the story. So I am going to play this with friends when I have time. The main goal is simple. Make your characters suffer a lot before they die and you win.

I cannot wait to play this with my friends. 🙂

Just a quick update!

Hi everyone. 😉 I hope you’re all doing fine. Well me, I’m still alive and kickin’ and I’m still busy reviewing for the remaining exams so I haven’t posted anything here in 3 weeks. I’m also playing Diablo 3 so I’m sure you understand how it affects my social life and how it manipulates me (bwahaha).

Anyway, I need to get back into reading.

Catch you later!

My wizard. I finished the last Act yesterday! Wiii!

Let’s Give it a Try ( A Geek Post)

In our fast growing world today, technology leads us not only to a new dimension but also to a new more convenient way of living. It has also changed our perception in life and how we should have fun. Most kids and adults today get easily contented if you give them a cool gadget like iPad or pc/console games. How about giving them a board game or card game? I wonder if they’d appreciate that.

Anyway, my bf and I played  Call of Cthulhu the Card Game yesterday. He got it as a Christmas present from his friend. Unlike the other video gamers that I know, he got really happy and satisfied with this non-digital game.

Moving on, the game’s objective is to do missions on the board and the first one to get 3 mission cards wins.

The number on the upper left corner indicates how many manas you’ll have to spend . While the icons below the mana indicator indicates the skills of the character and the last number is the life.

Cthulhus
When you use up a pile or piles of mana that you have, place these Cthulhus on the top of the mana pile to indicate that you’ve already used the mana. It remains there till your next turn.

I’m winning 🙂
It’s our first time to play this game and we had fun. I’m not fond of card games but this one rocks so I guess everyone should give this a try.
Going back to what I’ve said earlier, I’m not saying that it is wrong to play video games because I myself is a video game enthusiast but I think sometimes we need to take a break from it and try other games as well. The world is full of great things that deserve our attention too.

Sims Medieval

I bought this game two days before its launching date here in Norway. I was really excited to buy it because I’m a big fan of Sims (all the Sims pc games from 1-3, Pets and Medieval).
This Sims game is really different from the other version of Sims. Apparently because of its Fableish style and the stuff you can do in the game. I said Fableish because it reminds me of the Fable game.
There are lots of ambitions to do and unlock so this game will surely release the inner geek in you. The only thing that annoys me in this game is the lack of transportation (horses, wagons, etc). Other than that I just love the whole game.:)

Here are the screenshots from my save.
