In our fast growing world today, technology leads us not only to a new dimension but also to a new more convenient way of living. It has also changed our perception in life and how we should have fun. Most kids and adults today get easily contented if you give them a cool gadget like iPad or pc/console games. How about giving them a board game or card game? I wonder if they’d appreciate that.
Anyway, my bf and I played Call of Cthulhu the Card Game yesterday. He got it as a Christmas present from his friend. Unlike the other video gamers that I know, he got really happy and satisfied with this non-digital game.

Moving on, the game’s objective is to do missions on the board and the first one to get 3 mission cards wins.

The number on the upper left corner indicates how many manas you’ll have to spend . While the icons below the mana indicator indicates the skills of the character and the last number is the life.

Cthulhus |
When you use up a pile or piles of mana that you have, place these Cthulhus on the top of the mana pile to indicate that you’ve already used the mana. It remains there till your next turn.

It’s our first time to play this game and we had fun. I’m not fond of card games but this one rocks so I guess everyone should give this a try.
Going back to what I’ve said earlier, I’m not saying that it is wrong to play video games because I myself is a video game enthusiast but I think sometimes we need to take a break from it and try other games as well. The world is full of great things that deserve our attention too.
