The treatment for my migrane works and I couldn’t be happier. For some years, I’ve been suffering on and off from the migrane and it had driven me nuts some of times the attack occured. My GP prescribed Candesartan, a blood pressure medicine. Yeah you read that right. Even though I have Sumatriptan for the migrane attacks, I still felt like the symptoms only vanish temporarily. With Candesartan, I can now enjoy caffeinated drinks and at the same time not get triggered by loud noise and lights. Aura is gone as well so I don’t get nervous anymore while driving. Also, my attendance at work has improved because I don’t have to call in sick because of migrane.

While this treatment works for me, it doesn’t mean that it would work for everyone. One of my colleagues has dropped Candesartan because she experienced tiredness and fatigue.
